Keona & Mari are honored to be making their Broadway debut as proud mixed Filipino Americans from San Diego, California. They are an award-winning director/choreographer team, husband & wife, and parents. Notable work across film, TV, theater, and music includes the NAACP Image Award–winning Disney animated short “Us Again”; Billie Eilish; BTS; starring/choreographing Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” video; VMA nominees for Flying Lotus & Kendrick Lamar’s “Never Catch Me”; Drama Desk nominations for their Off-Broadway show Beyond Babel; the Broadway-bound The Karate Kid Musical; Cirque De Soleil; plus “World of Dance,” “So You Think You Can Dance,” “Dancing With the Stars”; Netflix, Nissan, Nike; and their award-winning documentary short Lolo. The Madrids want to dedicate this to their daughter, Numah, as she was born at the onset of their journey with this show and became an immediate inspiration to its core message.

Jon wrote the musical Bare (co-book, lyrics); the movie The Upside with Bryan Cranston, Kevin Hart, and Nicole Kidman; and his partner Adam Godley’s bio. He was a Field Agent on Cycle Five of MTV’s “Punk’d” and never worked again as an actor. He was named Best All-Around Camper at Dedham Community House (summer of 1986) and Most Improved Player on his U-12 soccer team. Talk-show appearances: “The Tyra Banks Show” (Apartment Makeover Winner). Sven designs projections and imagery for immersive storytelling events in theater, opera, dance, musicals, and beyond. Recent works include Maybe Happy Ending (Alliance Theatre), Thoughts of a Colored Man (Broadway), Parade (Broadway), as well as creative direction for NHWK4220 at New York’s Artechouse. His design for Disney’s Newsies was nominated for a Tony Award in 2012, followed by Drama Desk Award nominations for Julie Taymor’s Midsummer in 2014 and Thoughts of a Colored Man in 2021. Sven is a Professor of Practice in Immersive and Entertainment Design at ASU, and a keen gardener and landscaper.

Patrick has served as Music Director for eight Tony Awards. He conducted the New York Philharmonic with Patti LuPone and numerous Kennedy Center Honors, as well as the 2018 Grammy Awards. Most recently, he was Music Director for PBS’s “Great Performances’ 50th Anniversary Concert.” He has worked extensively with Hugh Jackman since 2003, supervising and conducting Mr. Jackman’s 2019 World Tour and, most recently, the Broadway revival of The Music Man. Ben was Music Director, Conductor, and Associate Music Supervisor for the Grammy- and Tony-winning Dear Evan Hansen worldwide. He was also the Vocal Supervisor and Pianist for the motion picture. Previously, he was the Assistant Conductor and Pianist for Wicked on Broadway. He recently conducted Sunset Boulevard at the Kennedy Center. He performed around the country as Music Director for Clay Aiken and Stephanie J. Block. He has also worked with Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ruben Studdard, Michael Ball, and Jessica Vosk. His arrangements have been heard on albums, TV, and live. Ben lives in NYC with his husband and son.

Matt is a Tony Award–winning Orchestrator; two-time Grammy-nominated Music Producer; and a Drama Desk, Lucille Lortel, and Outer Critics Circle–nominated Sound Designer. Credits include KPOP (Broadway), Here Lies Love (Broadway), Moulin Rouge! The Musical (Broadway), Beetlejuice (Broadway), Assassins (Classic Stage Company), and Sweeney Todd (Barrow Street Theatre).

Nadia was the music director and co-orchestrator of the Broadway show Waitress. She is currently working on several new projects including The Devil Wears Prada with music by Elton John, Real Women Have Curves (Joy Huerta & Benjamin Velez), Norma Rae (Rosanne Cash & John Leventhal), and Wonder (Great Big World). Other Broadway credits include the revivals of Pippin and Hair, as well as collaborating on new arrangements for Diane Paulus’s revival of 1776. Nadia (along with Rich Mercurio) was the music producer for the latest season of Apple TV’s animated series “Central Park.” She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Vassar College with a degree in Urban Planning.

JV is thrilled to have been with OUAOMT since directing the first reading in 2017. Directing credits include the critically acclaimed musical Songbird at 59E59th St, as well as many NYC, collegiate, and regional productions. He served as the Associate Director of “Jesus Christ Superstar: Live” starring John Legend and Sara Bareilles, as well as the Broadway revival of Romeo & Juliet with Orlando Bloom. Casting Director, Broadway: Romeo and Juliet, Cyrano de Bergerac (with Kevin Kline). JV is a tenured Professor of Acting for the Musical Theatre Program at Pace University’s School of the Arts.

Keona & Mari are honored to be making their Broadway debut as proud mixed Filipino Americans from San Diego, California. They are an award-winning director/choreographer team, husband & wife, and parents. Notable work across film, TV, theater, and music includes the NAACP Image Award–winning Disney animated short “Us Again”; Billie Eilish; BTS; starring/choreographing Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” video; VMA nominees for Flying Lotus & Kendrick Lamar’s “Never Catch Me”; Drama Desk nominations for their Off-Broadway show Beyond Babel; the Broadway-bound The Karate Kid Musical; Cirque De Soleil; plus “World of Dance,” “So You Think You Can Dance,” “Dancing With the Stars”; Netflix, Nissan, Nike; and their award-winning documentary short Lolo. Jon wrote the musical Bare (co-book, lyrics); the movie The Upside with Bryan Cranston, Kevin Hart, and Nicole Kidman; and his partner Adam Godley’s bio. He was a Field Agent on Cycle Five of MTV’s “Punk’d” and never worked again as an actor. He was named Best All-Around Camper at Dedham Community House (summer of 1986) and Most Improved Player on his U-12 soccer team. His design for Disney’s Newsies was nominated for a Tony Award in 2012, followed by Drama Desk Award nominations for Julie Taymor’s Midsummer in 2014 and Thoughts of a Colored Man in 2021. Sven is a Professor of Practice in Immersive and Entertainment Design at ASU, and a keen gardener and landscaper.

Most recently, he was Music Director for PBS’s “Great Performances’ 50th Anniversary Concert.” He has worked extensively with Hugh Jackman since 2003, supervising and conducting Mr. Jackman’s 2019 World Tour and, most recently, the Broadway revival of The Music Man. Ben was Music Director, Conductor, and Associate Music Supervisor for the Grammy- and Tony-winning Dear Evan Hansen worldwide. He was also the Vocal Supervisor and Pianist for the motion picture. Previously, he was the Assistant Conductor and Pianist for Wicked on Broadway. He recently conducted Sunset Boulevard at the Kennedy Center. He performed around the country as Music Director for Clay Aiken and Stephanie J. Block. He has also worked with Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ruben Studdard, Michael Ball, and Jessica Vosk. His arrangements have been heard on albums, TV, and live. Ben lives in NYC with his husband and son.

Matt is a Tony Award–winning Orchestrator; two-time Grammy-nominated Music Producer; and a Drama Desk, Lucille Lortel, and Outer Critics Circle–nominated Sound Designer. Nadia was the music director and co-orchestrator of the Broadway show Waitress. She is currently working on several new projects including The Devil Wears Prada with music by Elton John, Real Women Have Curves (Joy Huerta & Benjamin Velez), Norma Rae (Rosanne Cash & John Leventhal), and Wonder (Great Big World). Other Broadway credits include the revivals of Pippin and Hair, as well as collaborating on new arrangements for Diane Paulus’s revival of 1776. Nadia (along with Rich Mercurio) was the music producer for the latest season of Apple TV’s animated series “Central Park.” She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Vassar College with a degree in Urban Planning.

JV is thrilled to have been with OUAOMT since directing the first reading in 2017. Directing credits include the critically acclaimed musical Songbird at 59E59th St, as well as many NYC, collegiate, and regional productions. He served as the Associate Director of “Jesus Christ Superstar: Live” starring John Legend and Sara Bareilles, as well as the Broadway revival of Romeo & Juliet with Orlando Bloom.
